Our Collaborators

Library of Social Science works with major publishers of serious books to present their titles to targeted audiences of scholars and educators. The publishers listed below are among those who participate in our ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION PLAN—which allowed them to promote their titles at each and every one of our 2012 conferences. We applaud these publishers for putting their significant, exciting titles in front of the people who need and use them, working to assure that titles by authors who are speaking at the meeting are represented.

Founded in 1945, the University of Alabama Press applies the highest standards to all phases of publishing, selecting projects that support, extend and preserve academic research. The Press publishes 80-90 books a year, and has a backlist of approximately 1350. Publishing in print, electronic and on-demand formats, Alabama ensures that its works remain widely available.
APA Books
The American Psychological Association (APA) is the world’s largest scientific and professional organization representing psychology. From Charles Wiley’s Manhattan printing shop in 1807, John Wiley & Sons has grown to be one of the largest and most respected publishing houses. Their extensive Professional & Trade front- and backlists cover all subjects and areas, including business, technology, psychology, education, health and religion. Wiley continues to grow, branching into new technologies to continue meeting the needs of its customers.
Kent State University Press
Founded in 1965, the Kent State University Press publishes 35 titles a year—groundbreaking scholarship and important general interest books—that further knowledge in the Humanities and that preserve and promote a literate society. The Kent State University Press focuses on scholarly works in history, including military, Civil War, US diplomatic, American cultural, women’s and art history; literary studies; titles of regional interest for Ohio; scholarly biographies; archaeological research; the arts and general nonfiction.
Living Justice Press
Founded in 2002, Living Justice Press publishes and promotes alternative works about social justice and community healing.
