"LSS provides more personalized attention than anyone else. I appreciate it.”

“You do a wonderful job researching suggested titles…sometimes even better than our own people.”

“Working with LSS provides a good Return on Investment. You do very specific, targeted meetings. We really enjoy working with you.”

“I like the fact that we can we send our own order forms directly to the conference—so that attendees have a more personal link with us and experience our press as a distinct entity.”

The Essence of Simplicity: How the ASP works

Once you’ve signed up to exhibit with LSS through our Annual Subscription Plan, here’s how it works:

  1. We send you an email 5-10 weeks before each meeting with a description of the conference and list of suggested titles.

  2. You fax or email us the list of titles that you wish to promote at the meeting, including list and discount prices.

  3. We provide the conference shipping address—approximately four weeks before each meeting—so that you can send display copies of books, order forms, catalogues and other promotional materials to the meeting site.

Please Download and Fax your Reservation Form to Hold a Place for your Press in LSS's 2012 Annual Subscription. What is a Library of Social Science Book Exhibit?

Our exhibits are not simply “displays.” For each conference, we bring together a comprehensive collection of recent and significant titles on the meeting’s topics and themes—from the most prominent publishers in the world. Our exhibits become a gathering place and essential component of the meeting.

What Does a Library of Social Science Book Exhibit Look Like?

With ten to thirty tables at each of our conferences (all titles displayed face out), our exhibits are a sight to behold. Conference attendees are not only impressed, but often stunned by the quality and scope of our exhibit. The photos below convey the excitement that an LSS book exhibit brings to a meeting.

What Do Conference Organizers Say?

Conference organizers invariably tell us that the book exhibit we have created and managed for their meeting is the best one they’ve ever had. The following is a note we received shortly after completion of a book exhibit that we organized for the Annual Winter Roundtable on Cultural Psychology and Education:

“On behalf of the entire staff, we want to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for your assistance at the Roundtable conference. The dedication and effort you put forth to arrange a book fair that offered such a wide variety of texts on subject matters so relevant to the theme of the Roundtable is commendable. We are very thankful to you for the service you provided this year and the time and energy you committed to the conference. Many of the Roundtable conference presenters and attendees commented on your helpfulness and the extensive books you made available for sale. We hope you enjoyed working at the conference and contributing to such an important annual event. It is clear to me that the success of this conference would not have been possible without your help and support.”
